Programme 01

Documents Before Decisions: Introductory Talk

A ninety-minute on-site talk for community groups, mosque and church committees, and workplace welfare bodies — up to forty attendees. Covers why assembling records before any decision is the most practical first step, and how to build a household picture from documents already on hand.

Programme 02

Records Reconstruction Workshop Series

A four-week series for people whose employment records are incomplete, scattered across several employers or held only on paper. Two hours weekly, maximum ten participants, with a facilitator who guides rather than advises.

Community Organisation Capability Build

What exactly do Silverpadas programmes cover?

Silverpadas programmes cover the organisation, reconstruction and literacy side of retirement documentation — understanding what records exist, where they are held, how to request them through published channels, and how a complete file is put together. The programmes do not include personalised pension calculations, financial planning, legal representation or regulated advice of any kind.

Who attends the introductory talk?

The talk is written for community groups, mosque and church committees, and workplace welfare bodies. It suits any gathering where members are beginning to think about retirement paperwork and would benefit from a structured, unhurried introduction. Attendance can be up to forty people at a single session.

Is the workshop only for people with gaps in their records?

The workshop series is designed with interrupted or scattered employment histories in mind — multiple employers, periods of self-employment, records held only on paper or in formats that are hard to consolidate. People whose records appear reasonably complete but have never been assembled in one place often find the structure and templates equally useful.

How long does the community capability build take?

The engagement typically runs three to five months, depending on the size of the organisation and how many volunteers are being trained. The four-day facilitator training course is the most intensive element; the remaining time covers the governance framework, materials adaptation, supervision structure setup and the closing capability report.

Will Silverpadas handle my pension claim or speak to EPF on my behalf?

No. Silverpadas does not represent individuals, make submissions on their behalf or contact institutions on their behalf. If a matter requires direct engagement with EPF, SOCSO, a former employer's HR department or any other body, the referral sheet provided during each programme names the appropriate type of qualified professional for that category of work.

What are the fees and how is payment made?

The introductory talk is RM 475 per session, the reconstruction workshop series is RM 1,700 per participant (four weeks), and the community capability build is RM 4,380 per engagement. Payment terms and arrangement are discussed during the enquiry stage before any commitment is made.

Are the materials available in Bahasa Malaysia?

Yes. Handouts, the records index sheet and the community library materials are produced in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Facilitation is conducted in English; participants may raise questions in either language.
