Ipoh, Perak · Introductory Talk
I attended the talk at my mosque's welfare committee evening in May. Honestly, I came mainly to fill in the numbers — I did not expect to come away with a list of seven documents I had never thought to look for. The facilitator was measured, nothing pushed.

Batu Gajah, Perak · Workshop Series
My employment records were scattered across four employers over twenty-two years, and two of those companies no longer exist under the same name. The chronology template and the guidance on how to write to former HR departments gave me a starting point I did not have before. By the fourth week I had a folder that actually made sense.

What stayed with me was the referral sheet at the end. Until then I had always mixed up in my head what I could sort out myself and what needed a licensed person. Having it written down by type of question — that actually helped me stop worrying about things that did not need worrying about.

Ipoh, Perak · Workshop Series
I had been putting off looking into my EPF for years because I assumed it would be confusing. The first session showed me it was mostly a matter of knowing where to look and what to print. The small group made it easier — you could hear other people's questions and often they were the same ones you had.

Kampar, Perak · Introductory Talk
The segment on recognising misleading approaches was the part I was not expecting and probably the most useful. My wife and I had already received two phone calls in the past year that, looking back, fit the patterns described. The records index sheet was also practical — we printed it and put it on the fridge.

Sungai Siput, Perak · Workshop Series
I worked on an estate for eleven years and then in a factory for another fourteen. Two very different employment records systems. The facilitator helped me understand that both types of records follow a process for retrieval — they are just held in different places. By week three I had contacted both and was waiting for the responses. By week four they had arrived.

How Three Groups Worked Through the Process
Challenge
A mosque welfare committee had received repeated questions from members about where to start with pension paperwork. They did not have the knowledge to guide members and were concerned about inadvertently stepping into regulated territory.
How the Talk Helped
The introductory talk was delivered on-site for 34 attendees. It gave both the committee and the members a shared starting vocabulary — what records exist, what each one is for, and what questions should go to a qualified professional.
Outcome
Eleven of the 34 attendees subsequently enrolled in the workshop series. The committee chair noted that the volume of unanswerable pension questions they received after the talk fell noticeably.
"It gave people a place to start instead of a reason to panic." — Committee Chair
Challenge
A retired teacher had worked at three different schools over 28 years, two of them private institutions that had since closed or restructured. Her EPF statements showed three separate account segments that she had never been able to reconcile.
Workshop Process
Using the chronology template, she matched each employment period to the correct EPF segment number. The facilitator guided her through the process of writing to the successor organisation of one of the closed schools. By session three she had the missing contribution records in hand.
Outcome
She left the four-week series with a complete personal file covering all three employment periods — and a referral sheet pointing her to an independent financial planner for the next conversation she needed to have.
"After four sessions I finally understood what I was looking at." — Workshop participant
Challenge
A welfare association in the Teluk Intan area wanted to offer structured retirement paperwork support to its members but had no training, no materials and no governance framework to define what volunteers could and could not do.
Engagement Process
Over four months, Silverpadas delivered the governance framework, trained eight volunteers through the four-day facilitator course, provided the bilingual materials library and set up a supervision structure. Two supervised trial sessions were run before the volunteers worked independently.
Outcome
By the close of the engagement the association had trained volunteers, a reproducible materials set and a governance document. In the three months since closing, they have run four independent sessions reaching 61 members.
