Six Things Silverpadas Brings to the Table
A Clear Starting Point
Every programme begins with a records index — a checklist of the documents a typical Malaysian household should have before any retirement-related conversation with a professional. That alone removes several hours of guesswork.
Facilitated Rather Than Self-Directed
A facilitator guides participants through the reconstruction process at each step — explaining terminology, answering questions about document formats and helping participants recognise what they do and do not have.
Bilingual Throughout
All Silverpadas materials are produced in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Households where members work across both languages can use the same documents — and the same session — without one version being a lesser copy of the other.
Community Scale
Introductory talks are designed for groups — not one-to-one engagements. A single session can serve a mosque committee, a workplace welfare club or a community centre, reaching up to forty people with the same structured content.
Structured Referral Out
Where a question falls outside our scope, participants receive a written referral sheet naming the category of qualified professional to approach. The referral is specific to the type of matter — not a generic suggestion to "seek advice".
Builds Organisational Capacity
The capability build transfers knowledge and materials to an organisation's own volunteers — so the benefit continues long after the engagement ends, without ongoing dependence on Silverpadas.

Each Advantage, Examined
Expertise in Documentation Process, Not Opinion
Silverpadas facilitators are trained in the process of locating, requesting and organising pension and employment records — specifically within the Malaysian context of EPF, SOCSO and employer-held files. This is a narrow and purposeful area of knowledge, and it is applied consistently across all programmes rather than improvised session by session.

A Tested, Repeatable Process
The records reconstruction workshop follows a four-session sequence that has been designed to build from the most basic documents outward to the more complex. The order matters — a participant who has not yet retrieved their EPF statement is unlikely to make productive use of guidance on consolidating multiple employment periods. The sequence is not improvised; it is set and followed consistently.

A Community Setting Without Commercial Pressure
Silverpadas does not sell financial products, refer to advisers on a fee basis or receive commission from any third party. The session has one purpose: helping participants understand their documentation. That clarity of purpose changes the character of the room — people ask questions they would not put to a salesperson, and facilitators answer with the same uncomplicated intent.
Fees That Reflect the Nature of the Service
Programmes are priced to cover the preparation, facilitation and materials involved — not to extract value from a participant's assets or future decisions. The introductory talk at RM 475 is intended to be within reach of community groups operating modest budgets; the workshop at RM 1,700 per participant reflects four weeks of facilitated sessions with a small cohort.
A Defined, Reachable Outcome
By the end of each programme, participants have a clear picture of what documents they hold, what is missing, how to request the missing items, and where to go if their questions move into regulated territory. That is the outcome — not a sense of having been educated, but a tangible file and a specific next step.

What Is Particular to Silverpadas
Boundary Panel in Every Session
Every programme includes a printed boundary panel — a boxed statement naming what the session does not cover and who should be consulted for those matters. This is not a disclaimer buried in the materials; it is discussed out loud at the start of each session.
Reproducible Bilingual Library
Organisations completing the capability build receive a materials library they may reproduce themselves — not a locked set of branded documents. The intention is that the materials travel with the volunteers, not with Silverpadas.
Small Workshop Cohorts
The reconstruction workshop limits attendance to ten participants. That ceiling is not a commercial choice — it reflects what is needed for a facilitator to give adequate attention to each person's specific record situation during a two-hour session.
Governance Framework Before Any Engagement
Community organisations begin the capability build only after a written governance and boundary framework has been agreed with their own advisers. That document defines what volunteers may and may not do — protecting both the organisation and the people it serves.
